Delivered for the University of East London by GRAHAM, the project brings together academic teaching, learning and research spaces to support the expansion of medical and healthcare education, subject to General Medical Council approval.

Circle Development has been appointed as Clerk of Works, providing independent quality monitoring to support the delivery of a complex education environment that must meet rigorous academic, clinical and sustainability standards.

A sustainable campus with community impact

The New Academic Building has been designed to set new benchmarks in sustainable education development. Targeting BREEAM Outstanding, the project incorporates low-carbon construction approaches, cross-laminated timber, circular design principles, on-site renewable energy and intelligent building systems to reduce operational energy demand.

Beyond the building itself, the wider Stratford Health Campus places strong emphasis on community engagement, public realm and wellbeing. The campus vision includes new green spaces, accessible public areas and long-term partnerships with healthcare providers, local authorities and community organisations, ensuring the development delivers lasting value for students, staff and local residents
