Maintaining standards through detailed oversight and on site presence at One Goodmayes
One Goodmayes is a landmark regeneration project in the Crossrail Strategic Growth Corridor, delivering 568 new homes alongside a major new public square and community infrastructure. Within this wider masterplan, we are supporting our client on 287 apartments.
In our role as Employer’s Agent, Clerk of Works and Quality Managers, we are responsible for ensuring that these homes are delivered in line with the agreed design intent, quality standards and contractual requirements. Our focus remains on maintaining consistency, driving quality and providing clear, reliable oversight throughout construction.
We are pleased to report continued progress on site. First inspections have now been completed across Block B and Block C apartments, corridors, lift lobbies and staircases from Levels 1 to 20, with second inspections currently underway. Externally, landscaping works are progressing well, with paving, tree planting and general site clean up contributing to the wider quality of the environment.
Delivering quality through integrated services
Our combined role as Employer’s Agent, Clerk of Works and Quality Managers enables a joined up approach to monitoring progress, safeguarding design intent and ensuring compliance at every stage. By maintaining a consistent presence on site and working closely with the contractor and consultant team, we are able to identify issues early, provide clear direction and support the delivery of high quality outcomes.
Oversight, Compliance and Collaboration
Our Clerk of Works team maintains a regular on site presence, monitoring construction against approved drawings, specifications and employer’s requirements. Through detailed inspections and ongoing communication with site teams, we ensure that works are carried out correctly and to the required standard.
This includes reviewing set out, undertaking dimensional checks, inspecting structural and fit out elements, and monitoring compliance across architectural, structural and building services works. Fire safety, temporary works and health and safety are also key areas of focus.
Our approach is grounded in building strong working relationships with contractors and consultants. Clear communication and trust enable issues to be identified and resolved efficiently, supporting progress while maintaining quality. Regular reporting, including bi weekly updates and monthly summaries, provides our client with clear visibility of progress, risks and key observations.

Our quality management team is embedded on site, focused on ensuring that the specification and contractual obligations are fully understood and delivered in practice. From the outset, we review employer’s requirements, development agreements and supporting documentation to ensure a complete understanding of the project’s quality expectations.
A key strength of our approach is the integration of technology with detailed inspection expertise. Our cloud based quality inspection app enables clear, structured reporting and provides real time visibility of site observations. This allows our client to track quality performance as the project progresses, with issues identified, recorded and monitored through to resolution.
