We are pleased to confirm that the second BtR building at Brent Cross Town has reached practical completion. The scheme forms part of a wider regeneration project between Related Argent and Barnet Council, which will deliver 6,700 new homes, 3m sq ft of workspace, retail and 50 acres of parks and playing fields.
The building forms part of The Maple, Brent Cross Town’s BtR offer, and comprises 281 homes across three blocks, each rising to 12 storeys and covering a total area of 25,000m². The development provides a mix of studios through to three-bedroom homes, alongside three ground-floor maisonettes. Flexible restaurant units have frontage onto Neighbourhood Square, while residents benefit from a swimming pool, sauna, gym, workspace, games room, and courtyard gardens located at podium level.
As Clerk of Works and Quality Managers, we played a key role in ensuring full project compliance and maintaining high standards through rigorous quality inspections across all stages of delivery.
Modern delivery using HybriDfMA and offsite manufacturing
The development was delivered using PCE’s hyTower® system build solution, applying HybriDfMA principles to support a modern and efficient construction approach. Nearly 4,500 structural components were pre-engineered by PCE’s design team prior to being manufactured offsite. Delivery was supported by five specialist offsite manufacturers across the UK and Europe, with PCE’s innovative digital systems ensuring comprehensive coordination and quality control throughout the supply chain.
The hyTower® structure was designed by Whittam Cox Architects, with Allies and Morrison appointed as design architects for the original concept.
Our role focused on compliance, inspection, and quality assurance, ensuring the scheme met all required standards while supporting innovative construction methods.
