What expertise and background do you bring to the table?
I started my career as a placement Quantity Surveyor, developing the skills required to successfully run projects. Since then, I completed my degree at Nottingham Trent University, achieving a BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management, and joined Circle with 2.5 years of real world experience as a Quantity Surveyor. I have worked across a range of sectors including commercial, residential, education and heritage projects, both in London and beyond. Having worked on projects across multiple RIBA Stages, I have extensive experience managing commercial aspects both pre- and post-contract.
My role at Circle involves supporting the successful delivery of projects, with a strong focus on cost control. Pre-contract, I achieve this through accurate cost planning, realistic value engineering and detailed tender analysis. Post-contract, this is delivered through negotiation with contractors, thorough review of variations and providing clients with cost-effective solutions where appropriate. I strive to exceed client expectations and aim to maintain productive relationships with contractors to ensure efficient project delivery. Having worked closely with colleagues across the Quantity Surveying and Project Management teams, I am keen to learn from those with greater experience and continue developing my skills as a Quantity Surveyor while progressing to the next level.
What excites you about joining Circle, and what are your goals for the future?
Having joined Circle in November 2025, I am keen to be involved in the delivery of high value contracts and to progress towards leading the commercial delivery of these projects. Circle provides clear direction alongside consistent support and advice from senior team members, enabling me to challenge myself and achieve my goals. As a fast growing company, Circle offers strong opportunities for development, and I am pleased to be part of the team. I also value the social culture at Circle, including the annual ski trip!
What is your favourite project?
To date, I have enjoyed working on the Shore Station, Edinburgh project, a student accommodation development involving listed building conversions. I have had the opportunity to fly to Edinburgh to visit the site and undertake a valuation. This project has been particularly valuable, as it allows me to see progress on site and gain a deeper understanding of how high value projects are managed firsthand.
What brings you joy outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy a range of activities that help me stay balanced and energised. I enjoy watching football at the pub with friends and spending quality time with my family. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is important to me, so I regularly go to the gym and focus on eating well. I also have a strong interest in travel and enjoy exploring new destinations. My most recent trip was to Amsterdam, and I have previously visited Greece and Italy. These experiences allow me to recharge, gain new perspectives and maintain a positive outlook both personally and professionally.
