Dan Orban Assoc. ICWCI has been crowned the ‘Overall Winner’ of the 2026 round of the ICWCI’s Building on Quality Awards for his involvement with Mountbatten House in Basingstoke, the One Maidenhead project in Maidenhead, Berkshire, and Wembley Link Phase Two.
The Institute of Clerks of Works and Construction Inspectorate (ICWCI) held its 18th Building on Quality Awards gala dinner and awards presentation at the Winchester Royal Hotel on Saturday 16th May 2026.
Dan received the much coveted Overall Winner award following judging by a team of senior ICWCI members, who visited and reviewed projects submitted from across the UK and Ireland. The 2026 awards featured 17 shortlisted nominees.
Head Judge, Meredith Whilden FICWCI said:
“From time to time in these awards, projects are entered that stand out head and shoulders above the other entries and these are some of them.
Before we even looked around the projects, Dan was ready to enlighten us, and did so on his roles, his skill set, his challenges, his professionalism and commitment for his projects inside and out. He told us everything we wanted to hear without much need to question his ability as an extremely competent Clerk of Works. His passion, his commitment and his professional approach was second to none. His quality focus and compliance monitoring was above and beyond, and he is a credit to the Institute of Clerks of Works and Construction Inspectorate and the construction industry as a whole.
The projects were exceptional, and you could see the hard work and effort that he had endured, putting his life and soul into the projects. An overall winner through and through and well deserved.”
Following the awards, Dan Orban said:
“Winning the Building in Quality Award as Overall Winner is a huge honour for me. This recognition reflects all the hard work, passion, and dedication invested across the projects I have been involved in.
The award has not only brought me recognition, but also even more motivation to continue striving for excellence and performing to the best of my knowledge under such a prestigious institute as the ICWCI.”
