We have been appointed to support the delivery of 258 new single family homes across two developments funded by Long Harbour and delivered by Dandara; 193 homes in Mowbray Village, Horsham, and 65 homes in Great Dunmow, Uttlesford.
We were engaged early in the process to provide technical assurance and carry out technical due diligence on the Development Funding Agreement between Long Harbour and Dandara Southern Limited.
Following this, we have continued in the role of Technical Advisor and Fund Monitor, overseeing the construction phase across both sites. Our remit includes conducting regular site monitoring visits, delivering independent monthly valuations for works completed, and managing the practical completion and handover of properties to Long Harbour. Through continuous engagement and robust technical oversight, we ensure that project delivery meets agreed standards, specifications and milestones, providing confidence to the funder and stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
Mowbray Village, Horsham
Long Harbour has forward funded 193 single-family homes within Mowbray Village on the northern edge of Horsham, West Sussex. These homes form part of a major parcel of land acquired by Dandara within a significant mixed-use masterplan. Positioned in a prime location close to Horsham town centre and within walking distance of Littlehaven Station, the development benefits from excellent access and local amenities. Once complete, Mowbray Village will deliver:
- 2,750 new homes
- 500,000 sq ft of employment space
- A newly operational primary and secondary school
- A supermarket
- A sports campus
Horsham itself is a well-established and desirable residential location, just 30 miles south of central London, with excellent transport connections. Journey times include:
- 51 minutes by train to London
- 6 miles to the M23 motorway
- 20 minutes by car to London Gatwick Airport
The area offers a historic market square, substantial green spaces, and a strong rental market supported by an affluent local population.
Great Dunmow, Uttlesford
The second development comprises 65 new single-family homes in Great Dunmow, a sought-after market town in West Essex. Known for its characterful high street, independent shops and restaurants, and strong community feel, Great Dunmow offers small-town living with exceptional connectivity. Transport links include:
- Direct train services to London from nearby Stansted Airport and Bishops Stortford (under 48 minutes)
- 43-minute drive to Cambridge
- 26-minute drive to London Stansted Airport
Great Dunmow is part of an aspirational and economically strong region. Knight Frank forecasts 24.4% employment growth locally by 2044, significantly above the 15% UK average, supported by its proximity to the globally significant Oxford-Cambridge Arc.
