What expertise and background do you bring to the table?
I started my career as an assistant setting-out engineer in between first and second year of university. I then started at a Tier 1 main contractor whilst at university to complete year in industry as part of his degree in Civil Engineering, and then progressing onto the graduate scheme following university. I eventually pivoted into an engineering focused design management role having worked largely on commercial schemes but also others in retail, assisted living, and leisure.
Can you outline the responsibilities of your role?
My role is predominantly project management, with exposure to EA/CA roles depending on the tasks at hand. A typical week would include visits to anchor sites, design review progress, managing invoices, and reviewing change control. Recently, I have taken on the responsibility as EA for managing and monitoring the practical completion checklist for the Wembley Link Project.
Describe your experiences and growth at Circle?
I recently started as a Project Manager in 2024 and is getting stuck into the Wembley Link Project, and the Mountbatten House main works as well as the separate cat B fit-out for a tenant.
What has been your favourite project?
My favourite project is Mountbatten House, a sustainable commercial office refurbishment of the hanging gardens of Basingstoke. The building is Grade II listed, and is cited as one of the 15 most important modern listed buildings in the UK. The existing structure is very unique, containing crawl space voids formed of reinforced concrete which house the services between each floor.
What brings you joy outside of work?
I enjoy staying active across a range of sports, typically with a jack of all trades but master of none approach -from cycling to work and regular gym, to volleyball and bouldering. When I am not running around, I spend some time reconnecting with my Italian roots, including learning the Italian language with the aim of becoming fluent.
