The concrete slabs are being poured and Block C Rivermark is climbing high, reaching toward its 17-storey peak on the banks of the River Lea.

Our role as Employer’s Agent and Clerk of Works continues to support the delivery of this riverside scheme, as concrete slabs are now being laid floor by floor. This milestone marks a critical moment in the tower’s upward momentum and reflects strong coordination across the design and build teams.

We’ve been on board since the due diligence phase, helping Heim UK Residential Fund assess risk and compliance before acquisition. Today, our team is embedded in the live construction phase, ensuring quality is upheld on site and our client’s ambitions for long-term performance and liveability are fully supported.

A new kind of riverside living takes shape

Block C is one of three towers being delivered by Taylor Wimpey as part of the wider Rivermark development in Poplar, East London. Designed by BM3 and supported by Stantec and Foreman Roberts, this 17-storey building will deliver 128 Build to Rent homes, including 13 adaptable apartments, alongside shared amenities such as a gym, co-working lounge, secure cycle storage and EV charging.

Set within a reimagined former bus depot, Rivermark combines retained industrial features with new public realm and resilient infrastructure. Sustainability is central to its design, with a communal energy centre, solar panels, brown roofs and a new river wall that offers 120-year flood protection. Heim’s ESG goals are driving performance across the board, with Block C targeting more than 75% renewable energy use and over 25% biodiversity net gain.

What’s next?

As concrete works continue, the focus shifts to enclosing the structure. Upcoming milestones include installing the building façade and ensuring the building is watertight ahead of MEP installations. Our team will remain closely involved, monitoring progress and helping ensure specification, safety and quality standards are met at every step.
