At Circle, we believe the impact of our work reaches far beyond construction. Recently, our team working on the Wood Lane scheme had the opportunity to take part in a meaningful fundraising event in support of Fulham Reach Boat Club, kindly hosted by the contractor team at JJ Rhatigan.
Fulham Reach Boat Club is an award-winning charity with a mission of “Rowing for All.” They focus on opening up access to rowing for those who might otherwise miss out due to financial hardship or social barriers. Their programmes span 14 local state schools, five prisons, and over 200 members of the wider community. They also provide holiday activities for children facing food insecurity and limited access to enrichment opportunities. Through rowing, the charity helps individuals develop confidence, resilience, and teamwork skills, both on and off the water.
The event brought together a range of project partners, including ourselves at Circle Development, JJ Rhatigan, HUB, JB Structures and G&H, for a crash course in rowing. After some excellent coaching from the FRBC team, six boats took to the Thames for a friendly race. Congratulations to the team from HUB who took home the winner’s trophy.
It was a fantastic day of collaboration, connection, and community! Our thanks to JJ Rhatigan for making it all happen, and to Fulham Reach Boat Club for their inspiring work.
