We’re pleased to announce a key construction milestone at the Wood Lane development, where the concrete frame installation was successfully completed last week. This significant achievement marks a major step forward in the delivery of this ambitious residential and commercial scheme, developed by HUB in partnership with charity Women’s Pioneer Housing (WPH), and funded by City Developments Limited.

Delivered by main contractor JJ Rhatigan and concrete frame contractor JB Structures, the successful completion of the frame is testament to the dedication and collaboration of all teams involved. Despite the complexities of the site, works have progressed efficiently, laying a strong foundation, both literally and figuratively, for the next phases of this landmark development.

Delivering homes and workspaces in West London

The Wood Lane scheme will deliver 209 co-living apartments, 60 affordable homes, and new office space. Located on a technically complex triangular site in West London, the development combines striking design with careful cost planning to deliver much-needed housing and workspace in a constrained urban setting.

What’s next?

Following the completion of the concrete frame, the next key focus will be pushing forward with the façade first fix installation. This is an essential step in making the building watertight. Simultaneously, internal progress continues with the drylining and mechanical and electrical (M&E) first fix installations. These next stages will further accelerate the development, bringing us closer to delivering high-quality homes and workspaces to the local community.
