We’re pleased to share that on the 7th of October there was a major milestone at 227 Wood Lane, where the structure has now officially topped out. This marks a significant moment in the delivery of a complex mixed-use development that combines high-end co-living homes, affordable housing for women, and new workspace.
Delivered by main contractor JJ Rhatigan & Company, 227 Wood Lane is being developed by HUB in partnership with Bridges Fund Management and Women’s Pioneer Housing, and is funded by City Developments Limited. The topping out celebrates the collaborative work and expertise of everyone involved.
We are supporting the project as Employer’s Agent, Quantity Surveyor, and Clerk of Works, ensuring the scheme is delivered with precision and value in mind. From early feasibility stages through to delivery, our team has been embedded in the project, helping navigate the many complexities of this prominent West London site.
Delivering homes and workspaces in West London
227 Wood Lane will provide 209 co-living homes with high-quality shared amenities, 60 affordable homes for women operated by Women’s Pioneer Housing, and a 5,000 sq ft head office for the charity. The development is located on a constrained triangular site adjacent to the Westway and the Central Line, requiring innovative temporary works and a coordinated piling strategy to protect critical infrastructure.
Designed by Allford Hall Monaghan Morris, the scheme sets a new benchmark for integrated, socially driven development models in London.
What’s next?
With the superstructure now complete, the next phase of work will focus on completing the façade installation and progressing internal fit-outs including drylining and MEP first fix.
